Objectives

The Mishri Devi Eye Hospital (MDEH) Fellowship Program is designed to provide advanced specialty training in ophthalmology with a structured and practical approach. The uniqueness of this fellowship lies in its emphasis on comprehensive hands-on training across all aspects of the chosen subspecialty.

Our primary objective is to equip young postgraduate ophthalmologists with the ability to:
  • Manage patients in real-world clinical scenarios with confidence and efficiency.
  • Develop a systematic and practical planning approach to both diagnosis and treatment.
  • Gain extensive surgical exposure and proficiency, including mastery of OPD-based procedures and investigations.
Through this fellowship, candidates will also be empowered to:
  • Independently manage OPD services, ensuring quality patient care.
  • Conduct clinical research that contributes to advancing the field of ophthalmology.
  • Participate actively in academic teaching programs, thereby sharing knowledge and shaping the next generation of eye care professionals.

The fellowship program is thus not just a training platform, but a pathway to creating skilled, confident, and socially responsible ophthalmologists capable of excelling both in clinical practice and academic pursuits.
